Positioning the horizon

Friday 29th April, Clumber Park

High Horizon
This shows more water. If the water was perfectly still, this would be a good position. I think the clouds are more interesting on this day so this picture does not have as much impact as the following two photos.
1/ 640  F8  ISO100 Focal length 18mm
Middle Horizon

1/640 F8  ISO100 Focal length 18mm
I like the balance of this photo with the horizon in the middle. It is restful to the eye.
Low Horizon
1/800 F8 ISO100 Focal Length 18mm
To me, this picture has the most impact. I think if I had used a filter, I could have brought the clouds out and given them more impact. I found to difficult to take this and keep the camera level as I was balancing down hill and trying not to fall in.
