Exercise Objects in different positions in the frame

Sunday 17th April 2011

In this series of photos, the subject is placed in different positions in the frame.

The picture that is most natural is the swan towards the right edge. The swan still has some lake to swin into, yet the wake is shown.

The least successful picture is the swan in the upper right quadrant. This looks unnatural because there is nowhere for the swan to go.

Had the water been perfectly still, the reflection may have been more pronounced. This may have balanced the picture so the swan may look better in the centre.
